The second generation of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing high-performance sports sedan built on the updated Alpha 2 platform.

The second generation of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing arrives as the direct successor to the celebrated first generation following the retirement of the original model after the 2026 model year. The high-performance sports sedan has been greenlit to crown the next-generation CT5 family, retaining a dedicated internal combustion powertrain architecture amid evolving emissions rules.

Underneath the sheet metal, the new generation utilizes an updated iteration of General Motors' Alpha 2 rear-wheel-drive architecture, shared with the future Chevrolet Camaro platform. Compared to the first iteration, the next-gen Blackwing variant benefits from a refined chassis design, advanced electronic controls, and high-performance engineering tailored for rear-wheel-drive track capabilities and sheer speed.
