Buick La Crosse II gallery (2009–2016)

The second-generation Buick LaCrosse marked a massive leap toward luxury, built on the long-wheelbase version of GM's global Epsilon II platform developed alongside Opel engineers. The design was penned with sculpted curves, signature hood VentiPorts, and an upscale waterfall grille. The powertrain selection included 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engines with the innovative eAssist mild-hybrid system, along with direct-injected 3.0-liter and 3.6-liter High Feature V6 engines, all mated to six-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmissions. For the first time, an advanced intelligent all-wheel-drive system with a Haldex coupling was offered alongside front-wheel drive, paired with GM's HiPer Strut front suspension setup. A comprehensive refresh for the 2014 model year brought updated front and rear fascias, modern LED lighting, an overhauled dashboard with the IntelliLink infotainment system, and advanced safety suites. The model was a massive global sales success in both North America and China.
