The second-generation Buick Envision debuted in 2020 for the 2021 model year, adopting a lower, wider, and distinctly more athletic stance. Engineered on General Motors' E2XX platform shared with the Cadillac XT4, the vehicle transitioned to a more premium positioning. In China, the lineup was expanded into the standard Envision S and the longer three-row Envision Plus. The core powertrain is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine (LSY) producing around 228 to 237 horsepower, equipped with cylinder deactivation technology and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, matched with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Both front-wheel drive and twin-clutch intelligent all-wheel drive configurations are available. For the 2024 model year, the Envision underwent a major mid-cycle refresh incorporating Buick's new 'Pure Design' visual language, showcasing sleek slim daytime running lights, a bold trapezoidal grille, the brand's updated tri-shield emblem, and a 30-inch ultrawide curved digital display inside the cabin.
