Buick Enclave I gallery (2007–2017)

The first-generation Buick Enclave was introduced as a concept before debuting in production form at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show, entering production in 2007 for the 2008 model year at GM's Lansing Delta Township facility. Replacing the Rendezvous, the truck-based Rainier, and the Terraza minivan, the Enclave was engineered on General Motors' unibody Lambda platform featuring independent suspension all around and available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. Initial models were powered by a 3.6-liter DOHC High Feature V6 rated at 275 horsepower, which was replaced for the 2009 model year by the direct-injected 3.6-liter LLT V6 generating 288 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Both engines were coupled to a Hydra-Matic 6T75 six-speed automatic transmission. For the 2013 model year, Buick introduced a major mid-cycle refresh unveiled at the 2012 New York Auto Show, featuring a redesigned waterfall grille, LED daytime running lamps and taillights, an upgraded interior with Buick IntelliLink, and advanced safety equipment including an industry-first front-center airbag.
