About the model

The model debuted with its first generation designated G07, entering production in 2019 as a full-size SUV. It is engineered around the modular CLAR platform featuring a longitudinal engine layout, multi-link suspension, and standard dual-axle air suspension.

The powertrain portfolio consists of turbocharged inline-six gasoline and diesel engines alongside twin-turbo V8 units. Every version is paired with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and the rear-biased xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

A subsequent mid-cycle facelift introduced a split-headlight front fascia design and an updated interior with a curved digital display cluster. The G07 remains in production to the present day, occupying the top position in the brand's sports activity vehicle lineup.

BMW has expanded its 7 Series lineup with the M760 xDrive, featuring a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 delivering approximately 570 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive M Performance sedan replaces the former 760i and is heading to Europe engineered to comply with Euro 7 regulations.
