BMW X3 II (F25) gallery (2010–2017)
The second-generation X3 expanded in dimensions, adopting refined suspension tuning and sophisticated cabin luxury.
Introduced in 2010, the F25 X3 addressed customer demand for greater refinement and interior accommodation by scaling up to match the dimensions of the original E53 X5. Shifted to production in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the F25 shed the harsh ride quality of its predecessor in favor of a sophisticated multi-link suspension setup with optional Variable Damper Control. Exterior styling matured with flowing shoulder lines and signature LED light guides that gave it commanding road presence.
The cabin was overhauled with high-end trim, an integrated iDrive central monitor, and an electronic gear selector. Engine offerings featured modern TwinPower Turbo four- and six-cylinder units, including N20 gas engines and highly efficient B47/N57 turbodiesels coupled with ZF 8-speed automatic transmissions. The F25 successfully combined long-distance cruising comfort with agile handling, becoming a massive commercial success for the brand.
