About the model

The first generation of the modern M8 was introduced in 2019, comprising the F92 coupe, the F91 convertible, and the F93 four-door sedan Gran Coupe. The platform features dedicated chassis bracing, wider track dimensions, and adaptive suspension geometry.

Power comes from a twin-turbocharged V8 gasoline engine connected to an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission. The drivetrain utilizes the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system with an active M differential and a selectable rear-wheel-drive mode.

Periodic updates introduced revised wheel options, additional exterior finishes, and enlarged central infotainment screens while retaining the established mechanical foundation. The F91, F92, and F93 models continue in series production to the present day.
