Introduced in 2017, the F90 M5 revolutionized the model line by introducing intelligent M xDrive all-wheel drive, allowing drivers to select pure rear-wheel drive mode at will. This solved traction limitations and launched the sedan into supercar-rivaling 0-60 mph acceleration times under 3 seconds.
Engine power rose to 600+ hp in Competition trim, reaching its pinnacle in the ultra-exclusive M5 CS with carbon bucket seats and gold-bronze accents. The F90 redefined what a high-performance executive sedan could accomplish on road and track.
