Debuting for the 2023 model year, the G87 generation BMW M2 introduced a bold architectural design language featuring squared-off intake geometry, aggressive front aprons, and significantly widened track width. Built upon BMW's modern CLAR architecture, the G87 benefits from extensive underbody bracing and advanced chassis technology adapted from its larger siblings. Beneath its sculpted bonnet lies the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter S58 inline-six engine, producing an impressive 453 horsepower sent exclusively to the rear wheels.

BMW preserved authentic driver engagement by continuing to offer a standard six-speed manual transmission alongside the optional eight-speed M Steptronic automatic with Drivelogic. Inside the driver-focused cabin, the sweeping BMW Curved Display incorporates advanced telemetry tools, including M Drift Analyzer and M Laptimer, confirming the G87 as a sophisticated high-tech track weapon.
