The origins of Avatr date back to 2018 as Changan NIO, before undergoing a major corporate restructuring and rebranding to Avatr Technology in May 2021. The brand represents an industry-leading partnership combining Changan Automobile's vehicle manufacturing expertise, CATL's battery engineering, and Huawei's software and smart car technology.

Avatr operates in the premium high-tech electric vehicle segment. The brand targets forward-thinking luxury buyers who demand radical exterior styling, industry-leading autonomous driving hardware, ultra-fast charging capabilities, and a seamless digital interior experience.

The brand introduced itself to the market with the Avatr 11, a futuristic electric crossover coupe defined by its distinctive rear styling without a conventional rear window. This was followed by the Avatr 12 gran coupe sedan and the versatile Avatr 07 midsize SUV, which introduced extended-range electric powertrain choices alongside pure battery electric models.

Avatr vehicles are engineered around the CHN smart electric platform, designed collaboratively by the three founding partners. The architecture incorporates advanced CATL Qilin and Freevoy ultra-fast charging batteries, Huawei's HarmonyOS Cockpit infotainment system, and Huawei's Qiankun ADS autonomous driving suite utilizing multiple lidar sensors.

Avatr occupies a prestigious position as a technology benchmark within China's automotive industry. With a rapidly growing network of flagships across major Chinese cities, Avatr is actively executing an international expansion strategy targeting premium vehicle markets in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
