About this generation

The turbo era: a 450 hp 2.9 TFSI biturbo V6 in the RS4 Avant.

The B9 RS4 Avant (2017–) swapped the naturally aspirated V8 for a 2.9 TFSI biturbo V6 (450 hp, 600 Nm) shared with the Porsche Panamera. An eight-speed tiptronic and quattro delivered 0–100 km/h in 4.1 s.

A 2020 facelift added mild-hybrid tech and revised lighting. The B9 remains a benchmark fast wagon, blending daily usability with supercar pace.
