About this generation

The third-generation Audi Q3 compact crossover transitions to the upgraded MQB Evo architecture with a strong emphasis on electrification and advanced digital cockpits.

The third-generation Audi Q3 compact luxury crossover, designated with the internal factory body code FJ, is built on the Volkswagen Group's updated MQB Evo architecture. Retaining its popular premium compact SUV proportions, the generation introduces a completely redesigned exterior language defined by split LED lighting units, an expansive Singleframe grille, and sculpted character lines. The powertrain portfolio encompasses turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines integrated with 48V mild-hybrid systems, alongside advanced plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants equipped with higher-capacity battery packs designed to maximize zero-emission electric range. Power is routed through dual-clutch S tronic automatic transmissions, available with either front-wheel drive or the quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. Compared to its predecessor, this generation marks a major leap forward in interior technology, showcasing a digital cockpit interface, enhanced voice control, and a comprehensive suite of active safety systems. The vehicle is engineered for major global markets, including Europe, North America, and international regions.
