About the model
The first-generation Audi A5 8T debuted in 2007 on the longitudinal MLB platform, launching as a two-door coupe before adding five-door Sportback liftback and convertible body styles. The engine range consisted of turbocharged TFSI, naturally aspirated V6, and TDI diesel units paired with manual, multitronic CVT, or dual-clutch transmissions.
The second-generation F5 arrived in 2016, continuing the coupe, liftback, and cabriolet format with lighter chassis construction. It integrated the Audi virtual cockpit digital display, refined S tronic dual-clutch and tiptronic gearboxes, and the efficient quattro ultra all-wheel drive setup. A mid-cycle refresh updated the exterior LED lighting and introduced the MMI touch interface.
The third-generation B10 debuted in 2024, reshaping the model line around sedan and Avant wagon bodies. Built on the Premium Platform Combustion, it utilizes upgraded mild-hybrid turbocharged powertrains and dual-clutch automatic gearboxes.
