Audi A2 II (e-tron) gallery (2026–present)

The second-generation Audi A2 arrives more than twenty years after the original 8Z ceased production, reimagined from the ground up as a dedicated rear-wheel-drive compact electric hatchback. Built around efficiency and intelligent space packaging, the EV features a slippery aerodynamic body with a drag coefficient of 0.24, short overhangs, active aerodynamic shutters, and wing-shaped haptic door handles. It measures 170.1 inches in overall length with a generous 109.1-inch wheelbase, providing 14.0 cubic feet of luggage capacity expanding to 47.2 cubic feet.

The electric powertrain utilizes permanent-magnet synchronous motors available in four output levels: 168 hp, 187 hp, 228 hp, and a flagship dual-motor setup delivering 322 hp with a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 5.7 seconds. Energy is stored in either a 52.0-kWh or 61.0-kWh LFP battery pack, or a large 84.0-kWh NMC unit delivering up to 401 miles of WLTP range. DC fast charging operates at up to 183 kW, replenishing 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes alongside bidirectional V2L and V2H capabilities.

Inside, the cabin introduces Audi's Softwrap textile architecture alongside an 11.9-inch Virtual Cockpit Plus and a 12.8-inch curved central MMI touchscreen powered by an AI assistant. Compared to the lightweight aluminum internal combustion model of the early 2000s, this new generation transitions entirely to zero-emission propulsion, featuring drastically higher curb weight, greater connectivity, and modern chassis engineering.
