The second-generation Acura TSX (CU2/CW2) was manufactured from 2008 to 2014, offering both sedan and Sport Wagon body styles.
Debuting in spring 2008 for the 2009 model year, the second-generation Acura TSX (CU2 sedan / CW2 wagon) shared its architectural platform with the eighth-generation European Honda Accord. Dimensions expanded considerably over its predecessor, widening by nearly 3 inches to increase cabin shoulder room and high-speed stability. In late 2010 (2011 MY), Acura launched the TSX Sport Wagon, offering a versatile five-door estate variant with up to 60.5 cubic feet of cargo space. Engineering priorities for this generation focused on structural rigidity, chassis refinement, and elevating active safety capabilities.
The standard engine remained a 2.4-liter K24Z3 four-cylinder engine generating 201 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission. For the 2010 model year, Acura introduced a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter J35Z6 V6 option exclusively for the sedan version. A mid-cycle update for 2011 refreshed front grille details, added revised interior trim, and improved cabin acoustics through thicker side glass and added sound-insulating materials. A comprehensive list of standard features combined with proven powertrain durability helped secure a strong market presence in its segment.
