Acura TSX I (CL9) gallery (2003–2008)

Introduced in 2003 for the 2004 model year, the first-generation Acura TSX (CL9 chassis) was a compact entry-luxury sport sedan derived directly from the Japanese and European market seventh-generation Honda Accord. Positioned between the RSX coupe and TL sedan, the TSX emphasized agile driving dynamics through its tight double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension tuning, along with a high-rigidity unibody structure. Engineering priorities for this generation focused on structural rigidity, chassis refinement, and elevating active safety capabilities.

Powering the TSX was a high-revving 2.4-liter K24A2 DOHC inline-four engine featuring i-VTEC technology, producing 200 horsepower (updated to 205 hp for 2006). Transmission choices were a close-ratio 6-speed manual with a limited-slip differential or a 5-speed automatic with Sequential SportShift. A 2006 mid-cycle refresh updated front bumper styling, integrated fog lights, added hands-free Bluetooth connectivity, and updated interior instrument cluster graphics. A comprehensive list of standard features combined with proven powertrain durability helped secure a strong market presence in its segment.
