Acura Integra III (DC2/DC4) photos

Debuting in 1993 for the 1994 model year, the third-generation Acura Integra (DC2/DC4/DB7/DB8) became famous for its unique quad-projector headlight front fascia in North America. Offered as a 3-door hatchback liftback and 4-door sedan, the chassis featured refined double-wishbone suspension, enhanced chassis bracing, and driver-centric interior ergonomics. Regular trims used a 1.8-liter B18B1 engine (142 hp), while the GS-R was powered by a high-revving 1.8-liter B18C1 VTEC engine producing 170 horsepower. In 1997, Acura introduced the legendary Integra Type R (DC2) to North America. It featured a hand-ported 1.8-liter B18C5 engine producing 195 horsepower, a helical limited-slip differential, seam-welded chassis reinforcements, stripped sound insulation, upgraded Brembo-assisted brakes, and a high rear wing. A comprehensive list of standard features combined with proven powertrain durability helped secure a strong market presence in its segment.
