Brake Issue concerning Volkswagen Vehicles
Volkswagen has confirmed that a recall in America is not related to the diesel scandal.
The German producer made a recall for nearly 92,000 vehicles in America. This was done in order to fix mechanical problems. These problems threaten the power-assisted braking system to meet with no success. VW assures that the vehicles under consideration have a detail in the camshaft that can shear off. That would cause loss of vacuum in the power brakes. 2015-2016 VW Golf, Jetta and Beetle models fall under the recall. The vehicles received the 2.0-litre or 1.8-litre turbocharged V4 petrol engines.
In case the power-assisted brakes fail, the risk of crash will be high. Moreover, the mills can experience a reduced power mode for avoiding the damage.
The German manufacturer found out about the problem about filed reports of camshaft slippage. The automaker is going to fix the issue till the end of March. Meanwhile, VW assures that the vehicles under consideration are safe for their owners, but asks to report about all possible troubles to dealerships.
