Autopilot Pries From Tesla
Having announced more costly Model X P100D and Model S, Tesla has raised the price of the Autopilot semi-autonomous software.
The vehicle with Autopilot is $3,000 more.
Autopilot takes over lane changes, braking and throttle on the highway and steering, however, the driver still has to be all ears and eyes on the road.
Different options from the automaker, such as rear-facing 3rd row seats and air suspension have not been modified. Speaking of Autopilot, it has not changed too. A representative told that the new price will better reflect the value.
The Model S P100D Ludicrous is able to accelerate 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. It is capable of travelling 315 miles on a single charge. The price will stand at $134,500 for the vehicle.
The company is going to launch the Model 3 with the aim of providing attainable to the audience cars. That’s what the P100d offerings are not doing. However, the automaker says that having no clients willing to purchase the high-end Model X and S, it would not be possible to fund the tinier and more popular Model 3.
