Racing Variant of Peugeot 308 to Produce 303 HP

The upcoming event in Germany is to host the presentation of the next Racing Cup option by Peugeot.

More than 1.9 metres in width, Peugeot 308 will be equipped with wheels 18 inches in diameter. Large spoiler on the hood is a WTCC series variation, but, generally, a lot of features are taken from 308 GTi produced by the sports division of the carmaker.

Thus, petrol engine was the main borrowing item with the unchanged displacement of 1.6 litres. The output of this mill with modest volume totals 303 hp (the figure which served as a title component of the car), a 37 some hp boost from the previous option. Transmission is flappy-pedal and offers 6 speeds.

Market entrance of the racing novelty is planned for the fourth quarter of next year. Light-weight Peugeot 308 will for the first time be shown to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with a race-track presentation to follow in France in late October.
