A new alliance between Peugeot and Fiat Chrysler named Stellantis
The emblem of the newest auto concern, which was formed after the reunification of the French Groupe PSA (Peugeot and Citroen) and the Italian-American Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), took place.
The new alliance with the name Stellantis will include 14 brands from France, Italy, USA, Germany, and Great Britain - these are Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, Vauxhall, DS, Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and SRT. Cars of these brands will continue to use their brand logos.
The new alliance board includes 11 members: 5 specialists from each side and one leader. The chairman of the governing body is Peugeot-Citroen Carlos Tavares (he will also become the head of the PSA team).
The merger will allow the French, Italians, and Americans to optimize the costs of creating future cars while lowering the price of auto production. The new alliance sells about 8.7 vehicles worldwide in the first year.
