Futuristic Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4
French press learned about the official patent designs of the Centenario LP 770-4 from Lamborghini that will be introduced in Geneva this March.
The model is breath-taking. Its outlook is utterly impressive in the metal. Sant’Agata Bolognese’s company calls it the automaker’s “definition of a hyper year”. The long front and rear overhangs can be noticed on the vehicle. The roofline is very sloped at the back. This brings the Maserati MC12 to mind.
The Centenario is based on the Aventador. It is the company’s way to celebrate 100 years since the birth of Ferruccio Elio Arturo Lamborfhini, the founder of the company. As the name suggests, the car will have 770 PS (or 759 hp). It will be equipped with the 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated twelve-cylinder engine. The engine will be joined to a four-wheel drive set-up and a 7-speed ISR transmission.
Speaking of performance, the model will accelerate 0-62 mph in 2.7 seconds. Its maximum velocity will be more than 217 mph.
The company wants to produce 20 roadsters and 20 coupes. They have already been purchased for $2.38M apiece.
