Lamborghini Unveils Its Most Potent Open-Top Model Yet: the Fenomeno Roadster
Lamborghini has introduced a roofless version of its ultra-exclusive Fenomeno, turning the already extreme coupe into an even more uncommon open-air supercar. The new Fenomeno Roadster joins the brand’s limited-run lineup and carries over the same electrified V12 performance, but with the added appeal of driving under the sky.
Production will be restricted to only 15 cars, making it rarer than the coupe, which was limited to 29 examples. As with the original model, the Roadster is closely tied to the Revuelto, but it receives its own identity through distinctive styling inspired by Lamborghini heritage. Its blue bodywork nods to the 1968 Miura Roadster, while red detailing pays tribute to Bologna.
Open-Top Design With Serious Aerodynamics
Removing the roof did not mean sacrificing aerodynamic efficiency. Lamborghini says the Fenomeno Roadster remains nearly as streamlined as the coupe thanks to a reworked windshield with a carbon fiber spoiler that channels air over the cockpit and into the engine compartment. That airflow also helps cool the V12 and the carbon-ceramic brakes, while an active rear wing and a large diffuser manage the air at the back.
To keep the design clean, the anti-roll bars are hidden within carbon structures behind the seats. The car rides on 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels with a two-tone finish, wrapped in specially developed Bridgestone Potenza tires. Race-inspired manually adjustable dampers also let drivers change ride height.
Familiar Power, Nearly Identical Performance
Under the skin, the Roadster uses the same plug-in hybrid setup as the coupe. A naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 works with three electric motors to produce a combined 1,065 horsepower, giving it the title of the most powerful Lamborghini roadster ever built.
Despite losing the roof, acceleration remains almost unchanged. Lamborghini says the Fenomeno Roadster reaches 62 mph in 2.4 seconds and 124 mph in 6.8 seconds, only a tenth slower than the coupe. Its top speed exceeds 211 mph, just a small step behind the fixed-roof version.
Lightweight for a Hybrid V12 Supercar
Lamborghini has not disclosed the Roadster’s exact weight, but it is expected to be slightly heavier than the coupe because of added structural reinforcement. For reference, the standard Fenomeno coupe weighs 3,906 pounds dry, which is impressively low for a V12 hybrid with three electric motors and a 7.0-kWh battery.
The car can also travel briefly on electric power alone, though only for a short distance before the V12 joins in. Like the Revuelto, the hybrid system is mainly there to sharpen performance and help the brand meet tougher emissions rules while preserving its iconic twelve-cylinder engine.
Pricing has not been announced, but it will almost certainly sit well above the Revuelto’s $608,000 starting price. The Fenomeno Roadster continues Lamborghini’s long-running tradition of ultra-limited specials, following models such as the Reventon, Veneno, Centenario, and Sian.
More new Lamborghini models are expected later this year, including at least one vehicle scheduled to arrive for the 2026 model year.
