Lamborghini Launches High-Performance Temerario GT3 for the Racing Circuit

Lamborghini continues its legacy in motorsport by presenting the Temerario GT3, the brand's inaugural race car derived from the latest Temerario model. Departing from the road car's hybrid configuration due to racing regulations, the GT3 is meticulously engineered to deliver enhanced performance on the track.

Engine and Performance Upgrades

Under the hood, the Temerario GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing an impressive 550 horsepower— a reduction from the 800 horsepower found in its street-legal counterpart. Key modifications include a revamped air intake system tailored for smaller turbochargers, titanium connecting rods for increased durability, and an optimized engine calibration that ensures a more consistent power delivery across the rev range.

With the removal of the hybrid system, Lamborghini has reconfigured the aluminum spaceframe chassis to be more streamlined and robust. The rear of the vehicle has been redesigned to house a new six-speed transverse gearbox, simplifying the overall drivetrain architecture.

The GT3 features newly developed carbon composite body panels that uphold the distinctive aesthetic of the Temerario while significantly improving aerodynamic efficiency and cooling performance. This includes enhanced brakes, radiators, and turbochargers. Both the front and rear sections are constructed as unified units, and the underbody is divided into four sections, facilitating swift repairs during pit stops.

The Temerario GT3 is equipped with a fully integrated roll cage, advanced fuel management systems, six-way adjustable KW dampers, a hydraulic steering rack, and lightweight 18-inch Ronal AG wheels. These features collectively contribute to the car's exceptional handling and reliability on the racetrack.

Currently in the development phase, the Temerario GT3 is scheduled to make its competitive debut at the renowned 12 Hours of Sebring in March 2026. Enthusiasts eagerly await the launch of this formidable addition to Lamborghini's racing heritage.
