2016 Jaguar F-Type SVR will get a Four-Wheel Drive System
It looks like the Jaguar F-Type, the 2016 SVR variant on the top of the range, will boast a four-wheel drive system.
Car, a British magazine has caught several spy images of an F-Type SVR engineering mule. It was testing a four-wheel drive set-up which will equip the 2016 production offering. The model can be characterized by beefier ceramic breaks and bigger air intakes. At the same time its rear end will have a famous wing and a rear diffuser. The diffuser was influenced by the F-Type Project 7. The SVR variant will also borrow some aero pieces and bits from it.
An upgraded 5.0-litre eight-cylinder supercharged engine will provide power for the car. It will be capable of developing an excess of 600 hp (or 447 kW). As for manual transmission, Jaguar is offering it only on F-Type variants riding with a rear-wheel drive option.
An official debut is expected in March of the next year at the Motor Show in Geneva. The vehicle’s sales will break out soon after the debut. It is also known that the F-Type R Coupe will continue to live after the SVR’s start-up.
