The ELR is Cadillac's Big Disappointment
The Cadillac ELR has disappointed the brand. Only 100 cars were sold.
2015 turned out to be much better for the high-end plug-in hybrid that has marketed almost 900 vehicles in November of this year. Though, the vehicle under consideration is still a “big disappointment” for the Cadillac Chief Marketing Officer. In his conversation with Automobile, the chief admits that the car proves the automaker can tackle electromobility. According to him, the model under consideration was “the niche in the niche in the niche”.
So, the brand will not continue playing around with the ELR. It wants to add plug-in hybrid versions to almost every vehicle. Let us have a look. One year after the launch of the latest CT6 sedan, the producer wants to come up with a plug-in variant of the car. The scheme will be followed by the future offerings and SUVs of the brand.
The American producer has conceded not to catch up with the success of Tesla as, according to them, the high-end producer is focusing more on the range anxiety.
