The updated Cadillac XT4 recognizes the face

The 2021 Cadillac XT4 premiered for the Chinese market.

The compact crossover's main feature is the Face ID keyless entry function, which uses face recognition technology.

An infrared camera with adaptive illumination is mounted in the B-pillar. When the car owner approaches, a signal is read from his smartphone via Bluetooth, the system is activated and scans the car owner's face, and only after that the doors and ignition are unlocked. The engine is started using a button.

Face ID also requires other conditions for secure car access, such as a password and fingerprint scanning. The system can be configured to allow up to eight people to access the vehicle.

Under the hood, the redesigned Cadillac has a two-liter, four-cylinder, 237 horsepower turbo engine. The car has four-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic transmission.
