Koenigsegg Sedan Considered

Koenigsegg has just presented its “megacar”, but others may be considered too.

The CEO of the Swedish company confirmed to Top Gear that a 4-door offering is being considered. It was told that it can be presented in several years. Unluckily, the company did not give much information about it, but Koenigsegg revealed some details about future technologies the producer considers. There is an idea of an engine without camshafts. Koenigsegg also shared that he has been working on the technology almost for fourteen year. He also has eight employees working on it during the last several years.

Actually, he confirmed that it is “getting ready for fruition” and that the company is considering work with several large OEMs and searches the ways to implement it. Speaking about a competitor in the sports vehicle segment akin to the Porsche 911, it must be mentioned that it will not come from the automaker soon. The brand is not planning to build a competitor to McLaren’s innovated sports vehicles, Porsche 911 or Ferrari 458. It calls the segment “a hornet’s nest.”

Koenigsegg presented the Regera hybrid megacar at this year’s Motor Show in Geneva. It assured that the powertrain in a 4-door body will make its enthusiasts to salivate.
