Electric Jetta M6 Sedan Enters Pre-Sale With Up to 555 km Range
Pre-sales of the Jetta M6 electric sedan have begun in China, making it the first all-electric production model under the Jetta brand from the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. The launch of the new model is intended to strengthen the German group's position in the electric vehicle segment in the Chinese market.
In terms of dimensions, the Jetta M6 belongs to the mid-size class: body length is 4,806 mm, width is 1,868 mm, and height is 1,895 mm with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, which is 68 mm longer than that of the standard Volkswagen Jetta sedan. Buyers are offered a palette of six exterior colors: blue, purple, silver, white, black, and gold. The cabin features a 15.6-inch multimedia touchscreen, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, and a unit of physical control buttons. Three interior trim options are provided: gray, white, and purple.
The model is available in three trim levels. The base 465 Pro version is priced at 80,800 yuan (around 1,013,200 rubles). It is equipped with a 42.9 kWh traction battery providing a range of up to 465 km under the CLTC cycle, and an electric motor producing 113 kW (152 hp). Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.3 seconds, and average energy consumption is rated at 10.5 kWh per 100 km. The equipment list includes adaptive cruise control, an automated parking system, and a 360-degree camera system.
The mid-range 555 Max modification, priced at 90,800 yuan (approximately 1,138,600 rubles), is equipped with a 51.9 kWh battery with a range of 555 km and an electric motor outputting 145 kW (194 hp). This trim adds a panoramic roof, ventilated, heated, and power-adjustable seats, as well as a wireless smartphone charging pad. The top-tier 555 Ultra version, priced at 99,800 yuan (around 1,251,500 rubles), is additionally equipped with a Level 2 autopilot assistant supporting highway and city street driving, a front seat massage function, 256-color ambient lighting, and illuminated exterior door handles.
The Jetta brand, established in 2019, previously produced exclusively internal combustion engine vehicles. In 2026, the brand began export deliveries to Central Asia and transitioned to producing battery-powered vehicles, launching its electric lineup with the M6 sedan.
