Ceer Exobot electric sedan and SUV become Saudi Arabia's first production vehicles with up to 1,111 hp

Saudi Arabia has made a major move to establish itself in the global automotive industry with the debut of its first homegrown car brand, Ceer. Founded in 2022 as a joint venture between Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Foxconn, the company has officially unveiled its inaugural production models: the futuristic Exobot sedan and Exobot SUV. Both vehicles share a modular electric architecture and have been developed through collaborations with global automotive partners, including BMW, Rimac, and Hyundai Transys.

The Exobot showcases an unapologetic wedge-shaped silhouette highlighted by a massive 2.4-meter (7.9-foot) windshield and ultra-slim lighting units. The sedan measures 5.26 meters (17.3 feet) in length, while the SUV is 5.02 meters (16.5 feet) long, with both vehicles sharing a width of 2.1 meters (6.9 feet). The exterior design incorporates distinctive Saudi references: the sculpted bodywork draws inspiration from the ancient architecture of Hegra, the triangular motifs on the wheels reflect traditional architecture, and the 32-element lighting signature pays tribute to the kingdom's unification in 1932. The vehicles feature dramatic "Shahin Wing Doors"—nearly three-meter-long single panels that open upward in a 60-centimeter arc inspired by the flight of the Shahin falcon, offering unobstructed access for both front and rear passengers via key fob or exterior touch controls.

Inside, the cabin is styled as a minimalist, high-tech oasis complete with a steering yoke, steer-by-wire technology, and electrochromic glass on the lower door sections that can toggle between transparent and opaque at the push of a button. Mechanically, the models ride on an 800-volt electrical platform equipped with a 112-kWh NCM battery capable of charging from 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes. Power comes from a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system featuring front electric motors from Hyundai Transys and a rear motor engineered by Rimac.

The launch version, known as the First Edition, delivers 850 horsepower and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque, accelerating the sedan from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.6 seconds and the SUV in 2.9 seconds. Estimated driving range on the NEDC cycle reaches 670 km (416 miles) for the sedan and 560 km (348 miles) for the SUV. The First Edition comes trimmed in red-and-black Nappa leather, unique exterior finishes, and a numbered plaque matching the vehicle's VIN, with a Plus version slated to follow. A flagship trim increases output to 1,111 hp and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft), cutting 0–100 km/h sprint times to 2.1 seconds for the sedan (top speed 250 km/h / 155 mph) and 2.4 seconds for the SUV (top speed 210 km/h / 130 mph).

The Exobot is the first of seven models Ceer plans to introduce by 2030, which will include compact and midsize offerings and could incorporate internal combustion powertrains alongside electric drivetrains. All vehicles will be designed, engineered, and manufactured at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City, positioned as the largest car manufacturing site in the Middle East.
