Lingenfelter Upgrades C8 Corvette with Powerful 7.0L V8 Engine

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering introduces a formidable new engine option for Chevrolet Corvette aficionados. Named the Eliminator Spec S, this 7.0-liter (427 cubic inches) LT2 V-8 engine is naturally aspirated and has already been installed in a Corvette E-Ray, achieving impressive dyno performance.

According to Lingenfelter, this engine represents the highest-output naturally aspirated variant available for both the C8 Stingray and the all-wheel-drive E-Ray models. Dyno results indicate that the vehicle produces 577 horsepower and 528 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, translating to over 700 horsepower and more than 600 pound-feet of torque at the crankshaft.

The aftermarket specialist collaborated with Callies to develop several bespoke components for the enhanced engine. These include Callies H-beam connecting rods and a Callies crankshaft, along with 4.125-inch MAHLE Power Pack pistons. Additionally, a COMP Cam camshaft is designed to optimize performance with the dual-clutch transmission’s torque and shifting characteristics, while retaining the engine block’s original oiling and scavenging systems.

The Eliminator Spec S package is priced at $29,950, with various upgrade options available. Customers can choose a carbon intake manifold for $2,395, a ported throttle body for $480.95, or a Halltech cold air intake for $795. Exhaust enhancements include the CORSA Xtreme exhaust system priced at $3,978.99 and CORSA headers available for $2,495.

Lingenfelter ensures that the engine is compatible with the stock manifolds, aiming to deliver a balanced package of power and drivability. For enthusiasts seeking maximum performance, the tuner recommends pairing the engine with a new intake and exhaust system to fully capitalize on the enhanced capabilities.
