Renault Group sales in 2021 slumped significantly

Renault Group sold 2.69 million cars in 2021, down 4.5% from 2020.

The Renault Arkana coupe crossover accounted for the most sales.

It is reported that the decrease in sales of the French corporation is associated with a shortage of microchips and electrical components.

  • Results of Renault in 2021: 1.69 million cars (-5.2%);
  • Dacia results in 2021: 537,095 cars (+3.1% more);
  • Lada results in 2021: 385,208 cars (+0.3%);
  • Alpine results in 2021: 2,659 cars (+74%);
  • Renault-Samsung Motors results in 2021: 57,480 cars (-36%).

Renault Group has sold more hybrids and electric cars (+13%). The most popular here is the Clio hatchback and the Captur compact crossover.
