Skoda Octavia interior created from beets and cane

Skoda and the Technical University in Liberec made environmentally friendly material, which consists of sugar beets.

The novelty from Skoda is already claimed at the patent office of the European Union. At the plant in Mlada-Boleslav, the sugar beet pulp gets a unique coloring, which is then used to decorate the interior, as was done with Octavia.

Cane, in turn, is used on the door panels with uprights.

Prospects of biocomposite and bio textile for mass production are high, but today Skoda began making seat upholstery for the electric car Enyaq iV.
