Mitsubishi is thinking about a return to Europe
Mitsubishi may resume sales of its new products in Europe.
The reason for this decision is the increasing pressure from Renault and Nissan.
As the Financial Times reports, last year, Mitsubishi stopped sending new cars to Europe because the Japanese giant decided to focus more on the lucrative Asian market. The company planned to lower costs by 20% over the next two years to boost operating income.
Now Mitsubishi is thinking about moving production of several models for Europe, and the place will be the Renault plant in France. The Japanese have taken a preliminary decision, but it will be finally announced on February 25 during the concern's Board of Directors meeting.
