Peugeot has the most powerful hybrid
The French division of Peugeot Sport Engineered has presented the first plug-in hybrid type with the possibility of recharging.
Innovations came to the 508 sedans and 508 SW wagon. The machines' installation capacity was 360 "horses" and 520 Nm, and in total, the new products have two electric motors (81 and 83 kW) with a 1.6-liter petrol unit. The hybrid's first hundred kilometers per hour is gained 5.2 seconds at a top speed of 250 km/h.
The electric motors, located on each of the axles, are powered by an 11.5 kWh battery. The hybrid can only drive on electric traction for a maximum of 42 km.
The cars are on 20-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S sports tires. The hybrid offers four driving modes for the driver: Electric, Comfort, Hybrid, Sport, and 4WD.
