New Volkswagen Amarok prepared units from Ford

The second-generation Volkswagen Amarok expects its sales for 2022.

The car will be based on the latest American pickup truck Ford Ranger.

The first Amarok debuted in 2009, but over 11 years, the car in its segment did not become a leader. The situation is different with the Ford Ranger, so the Germans agreed with the Americans on cooperation.

The brand new Amarok will have its design performance. The body design with the interior of the two pickups will be different. Only in technical terms will they be the same. The German novelty will get a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel and a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel from the Americans - motors pairs with a 10-speed automatic.
