New Ford Explorer got a 2.0-liter turbo engine

Ford has unveiled for China a new generation of Explorer. Auto production will be held at the Changan Ford joint venture.

The Chinese version of the car differs from the translations for the USA and Europe with a front body, a vertical tablet inside, and motors. The central unit of the vehicle will be a 2.0-liter “four.”

The appearance of the Chinese Explorer from the US version differs by a different grille with bumpers, and the latest multimedia with a 12.8-inch vertical screen has appeared in the cabin. On display, you can control each primary function of the car, because of which there are very few physical buttons.

Local media write that the base unit of the model is a 2.0-liter “turbo-four” EcoBoost with 220 hp. There will also be a 2.3-liter turbo engine with 276 “horses.”

Each crossover in China will receive an all-wheel-drive transmission and a ten-band automatic transmission. The car will be on sale in June.
