Ferrari's 1,000-hp plug-in hybrid postponed

Ferrari has said it is postponing deliveries to dealerships for the 1000-horsepower SF90 Stradale hybrid.

The reason was the coronavirus pandemic, which is why it was not possible to acquire all the necessary parts for the car.

The first commercial Ferrari hybrid was supposed to hit dealerships in the first half of 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Italians have suspended production, postponing the supercar's deliveries, which will begin at the end of this year. There is no information about the price of the car yet.

A hybrid powerplant has been prepared for the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which includes a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with three electric motors. In total, about 1000 "horses" of power are obtained. An 8-speed "robot" with two clutches functions with the engines. The super hybrid gains the first 100 km per hour in 2.5 seconds at a top speed of 340 km/h.
