Volkswagen starts to accept orders for ID.3

Volkswagen has announced that they start accepting orders for an ID.3 hatch with an electrical installation.

The car debut will take place only this September, but orders begins now.

The number '3' in the name of the car means belonging to the compact class, symbolizing a new life of the German brand after Beetle and Golf.

The deposit on Volkswagen ID.3 in Germany is 1,000 euros, and the price of a basic model car will be about 30,000 euros.

The basis of the car is a modular MEB base, created on the transport with all-electric installations. Hatch will get one 170-horsepower electric motor, responsible for the rear axle. They will equip the novelty with 48, 55 and 62 kW/h batteries, allowing them to overcome the WLTP cycle 330, 420 and 550 km, respectively.
