Volkswagen Announces Newest Passat

Volkswagen representatives spread a new teaser for the new American version of Passat in Twitter.

The new generation will be publicly declassified in a few days in Detroit. The picture hints that the new product will provide 19-inch wheels with ContiPro Continental tires. Motor1 writes that this is a top variation of the newest Passat. Cheaper options for the model will be 17- and 18-inch wheels.

The basis of the novelty is an improved platform of the last performance. Passat will have an improved 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol unit, developing 176 "horses" and 280 Nm. A car with a 3.6-liter VR6 will not appear in the US, but it will be a hybrid.

Among the list of available options are expected light/rain sensors, cruise control adaptive plan and the system of auto-hold on the occupied strip.
