The new Chevrolet Corvette will call Stingray
The official Chevrolet website distributed information regarding the eighth generation of the Corvette sports car.
As it became known, the car will debut on July 18 with the name Stingray. A similar prefix in the company used in the1963-1976 period. After that, a vehicle revived in the seventh generation.
The first in the history of the Corvette Stingray debuted in 1963 when the second generation of the sports car appeared on the market. The prefix removed after 13 years, but five years ago, the Americans revived it with the eighth generation, so soon the car will join the line. Stronger variations of the vehicle, where a hybrid expected, will remain the current pattern of names and prefixes Z06 and ZR1.
The sports car will switch from front-engined to mid-engined.
