Volkswagen cult model will turn into an electric car

Designer Kleber Silva was shown a render of a new generation of the Volkswagen Beetle, which will become an iconic car for the model.

The new car will become an electric hatchback.

Volkswagen Group Director Herbert Diss said earlier that the Beetle of the 8th generation could really become an electric. Finally, this decision will gain strength in the near future.

The appearance of such a machine can really happen, because in Volkswagen soon will be active development of hybrid models and electric cars.

The 4-door hatch with electric power at Silva render has an increased wheelbase, because the electrical installation takes up a lot of space.

The novelty will be provided with the MEB platform in the case of the approval of the electric Volkswagen Beetle project.
