Germany, Meet VW Arteon: 49 325 euro

The Arteon features the same 2.0-litre TSI motor producing 280 hp, but is priced almost €3,000 more than a Passat.

The VW Arteon was presented at this year’s Motor Show held in Geneva. Now it is possible to obtain the vehicle in Germany. The car is available with the torquetastic biturbo 2.0 TDi producing 240 hp and torque of 369 lb-ft and the 2.0 TSI producing 280 hp and torque of 258 pound-feet. Both engines are joined to a dual-clutch automatic gearbox that transfers power to a 4 motion 4-wheel-drive set-up.

The attractive model equipped with the petrol engine will set customers back €49,325 (without goodies). Meanwhile the diesel unit will be €51,600.

The Arteon features a sleeker body than the Passat. It is possible to reach its 563-litre trunk without folding the seats. If you decide to fold them, you will receive a space of 1,557 litres.

The latest Arteon is supposed to be manufactured in its homecountry at the Emden factory. Clients should expect to receive it by the middle of June.
