$217k for VW Amarok V8 Desert Edition

MTM has stated about its intention to reveal the innovated VW Amarok eight-cylinder Desert Edition at the Motor Show held in Geneva.

The offering was created in cooperation with DIRKS. You will see a two-tone exterior along with a front brush guard, 20-inch BBS alloys wrapped in Cooper off-road tyres and extended fender flares. Besides, the truck benefits from a roll cage, side steps and blacked out badging.

The cabin is upscale. Covered in Alcantara upholstery and leather it features an infotainment set-up with GPS navigation and a TV function, carbon fibber trim and auxiliary gauges.

The power is sent through a 4.2-litre TDI eight-cylinder item. It is able to develop 410 hp and torque of 685 pound-feet. It is joined with an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox enabling the vehicle to sprint from 0-62 mph in 6 seconds. Meanwhile its top speed stands at 149 mph.

The truck has been fitted with a high-performance braking set-up measuring discs of 16 inches on the front and 14 inches in the rear. There also is a coilover system.

The VW Amarok eight-cylinder Desert Edition is outstanding. MTM wants $217,514.95 or (€199,143.92) for the offering.
