Three-Row Crossover from Cadillac

Cadillac President has announced that the brand is creating a 3-row crossover that will be placed above the new XT5.

In his interview with Automotive News, he admitted that the offering will be equipped with a long-wheelbase variant of the C1XX chassis. By the way, it also underpins the XT5 and GMC Acadia. The chassis will also support the next-gen Enclave from Buick and Traverse from Chevrolet.

According to the boss, the flexibility of the platform allows the brand to create the vehicle very quickly. He continued that the developers are working hard to deliver the vehicle as soon as possible. The exact timeline was not announced. We assume it will go on sale in the second part of 2018.

The President also hinted that the XT5 might be offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged V4 unit in America. Meanwhile, it can be obtained with a 3.6-litre six-cylinder only. This unit is able to generate 310 bhp and torque of 270 lb-ft.
