The G550 4x4(2) from Mercedes Comes to U.S. in 2017

The G500 4x4² from Mercedes-Benz will be marketed in America since the beginning of 2017. In order the model could stay in line with all the other naming structures, it will get the G550 moniker.

Actually, this change is the only one. The automaker equipped the model with the 4.0-litre biturbocharged eight-cylinder producing 416 hp and torque of 450 pound-feet. Off-road prowess of the offering is more capable then the regular one’s. Departure and approach angles were enhanced by 13.8 and 21.6 degrees. Ground clearance increased by 7.9 inches. Breakover angle also grew up to 23.4 degrees. The car’s fording depth received a massive improvement of 15.8 inches.

We do not know the pricing at the moment, but it will appear at thetime of the official on-sale day of the SUV in 2017.
