Chevrolet has prepared lots of new for the 2018 Equinox.

The crossover loses 400 pounds, so that the lightest offerings will be 3.327 pounds. There will be 3 engines offered to the clients. A V4 turbodiesel unit will be among them.

Actually, all the Equinox’s motors are turbocharged. Chevy says that the 1.5-litre V4 should make 170 hp and torque of 203 pound-feet. It will be available with a 6-speed automatic transmission offering 31 mpg on the highway. As for the 2.0-litre turbocharged V4, it should produce 252 hp and torque of 260 lb-ft. Its 9-speed automatic will return 28 mpg. There also will be a 1.6-litre diesel unit generating 136 hp and torque of 236 lb-ft. The automaker suggests it will have 40 mpg from the 6-speed automatic. There will be both front and AWD.

Inside the cabin you will see lots of improvements. You will find a 2-tone combination of light brown leather with black accents. The 2018 Equinox will receive a 7- or 8-inch MyLink infotainment set-up. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Support will be offered.

The 2018 model will be marketed in America in the 1st quarter of the next year.
