America, Meet the Audi A5 Sportback

Audi is going to add a new version of the A5 to its range.

In his conversation with Automotive News, Audi of America chief stated that an innovated A5 body design will reach America in the second part of this year. The precise name has not been confirmed yet. The 4-door A5 Sportback is the only A5 version that is not sold in the US. It will become a rival to the 3 Series Gran Turismo from BMW.

Not long ago paparazzi snapped the innovated Audi A5 Sportback during cold weather testing. The car will probably appear when the new A5 is introduced.

Now the Audi A5 is available in America as a convertible and coupe. The 4-door offering will be a smaller counterpart to the more upscale A7.

The boss is sure that there will be no other version of the A5 that will be a home run.
