Abarth 500X Render Surprises

A gifted artist from OmniAuto presented a rendering of the Abarth 500X.

The tiny Italian crossover will comes without the Fiat moniker, but gains a scorpion logo, according to FCA.  The model is supposed to be presented in 2017. A more aggressive body is expected. It might remind of the 500X Chicane concept that was revealed at 2015 SEMA. The model might offer a beefier outlook along with a lowered sports suspension and large alloys.

Expect the offering to surprise you with considerably more punch. The powerplant has not been confirmed yet, but it possibly can be the 1.75-litre turbocharged unit powering the Alfa Romeo 4C. The engine is believed to produce 200 hp transferred to a four-wheel drive system.

There also should be larger brakes and a sportier exhaust system providing a more aggressive sound. The interior will also be enhanced. Wait for new upholstery and trim proving that this model is something different from a regular Fiat 500X.

We remind you that he Abarth 124 Spider will come out this year and the model under consideration is expected next year.
