VIDOEV cheats VW Beetle, but adds Electric Motor and Rear Doors

VIDOEV, the Chinese low-speed electric vehicle producer has simply cheated the VW Beetle without any qualms of conscience.

We saw the terrifying Jinma JMW2200 yesterday and now get ready to see the replication of the VW Beetle from VIDOEV at the Shandong EV Expo in China. Do not get too excited, almost nothing was changed! However, the vehicle was a little bit stretched in order to accommodate rear doors. What is strange, the car has an exhaust tip. Did VIDOEW forget this is an electric vehicle?

The LSEV was created by a company having a logo which reminds of Nissan and lettering inspired by Volvo. Since the company calls the vehicle a “Beetle-style car”, we can judge that they have not come up with the name yet. Though, the creation is scheduled to be produced in early 2016. The interior cabin is not completed yet, but it also reminds of the Beetle’s. It is known that a lead-acid battery will be mounted under the rear seats.

The four-door “Beetle-style” vehicle is equipped with an electric motor generating 20 kW (or 27 hp). The range information was not announced yet. The pricing was not revealed either, but VIDOEV representatives at the expo assure that it will start from $16,100 (100,000 Yuan).
